Appreciating employees goes beyond words or general accolades. It involves creating a supportive environment that empowers employees, values their input, and provides opportunities for professional growth and development. Leaders that do this not only acknowledge the worth of their teams' efforts but also maximize their potential to achieve their goals. Just a friendly reminder.

It's not enough to just say "thanks" to our team. We need to show them how much we value them by creating an environment where they can learn, grow, and use their talents to the fullest. That's how we build a stronger team and a stronger company.

How can anybody be an effective leader when their mommy and daddy‘s paid for the college paid for all their clothes then sent them out to the Work world thinking that they’re going to set it on fire because they’ve been taking care of for most of their life. These people are not leaders. I want to finance company the other day who said they want to handle my money. They were too young people there and I asked him tell me something about yourself. I asked them who paid for your college. They said my parents. Then I asked what do you do in the first thing in the morning when you want to invest in the stock market? I said do you have iPhones and they said yes. I said do you read the financial reports for yahoo and Apple before you come to the office? They said no. They work for financial. I don’t know if they read the Wall Street Journal or business daily.

Couldn't agree more but it begs the question of why you even need to remind people about this topic to begin with. It amazes that in 2024 we have to remind leaders and coworkers to appreciate each other in a multitude of ways.

Is a pat on the back and passing comment good enough for being appreciated? Or should that pat on the back also reflect on their "Merit Increases?" I tried to spend my pats on the back at the gas pump and grocery store but they would not accept them

When employees feel supported and valued, they're more likely to go the extra mile and become invested in the company's goals. This two-way street.
