GSV was honored to host Mr. Viraj Lal CMILT for an Industrial learning session on "Global Supply Chain Resilience." The session explored the critical aspects of building resilient global supply chains, emphasizing sustainability, fairness, and security. Mr.lal shared valuable insights on event monitoring, leveraging technology and data for timely risk discovery and mitigation. He highlighted the importance of a 360-degree risk assessment, incorporating customer data, resilience metrics, supplier assessments, and third-party information. Mr. Lal also emphasized the crucial role of multi-tier mapping in identifying failure points and enabling early warning systems. The use of advanced technologies such as Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning for continuous supply chain monitoring was showcased as a game-changer in the field. We sincerely thank Mr. Lal for his valuable insights and for inspiring our students to think critically about supply chain resilience. A moment of pride as GSV takes a big stride. Forging stronger partnerships this time with country’s finest, we have signed 2 significant Memorandum of Understandings with Indian Air Force and Indian Army. It is on the line of the mandate under which GSV was established that is to help streamline the logistics and transportation sector in the country. The MoU will serve as a platform for the institutions to collaborate and strengthen Armed and Air forces’ logistics. GSV will exclusively design curriculums and short term executive courses to help their personnel gain latest developments. Institutes will also collaborate to conduct joint researches and case studies in the area and occasionally organise symposiums and workshops as well.
