Social Prescribers and Health & Wellbeing Coaches have been saying this for ages but so often we have to let down patients who want a formal follow on programme after 12 weeks on an NHS commissioned service and they are not available except at cost. We get asked time and time again for gym referrals and the very people asking for this are the people who can't afford the memberships or pay as you go fees, but who are at most risk from health inequalities. This is exactly what I’ve been discussing over the recent weeks, particularly when it comes to bone health.
