Take a look at our last published data showing that Knee Postoperative Fluid, usually discarded, possesses a potent antioxidant protective effect against oxidative-induced damage in human knee articular chondrocytes. Delivering this fluid directly into the joint could target the underlying pathology and stimulate cartilage repair, leading to improved joint function and quality of life for affected patients. This therapeutic application may also be envisaged in patients different from the fluid donors. Indeed, after appropriate separation and purification, the active fluid components can be therapeutically employed to treat patients suffering from chondropathies or osteoarthritis. By using the fluid’s components, it may be possible to avoid the need for prosthetic implants, which is particularly beneficial for patients in the early stages of the disease. This approach may also be effective for patients with advanced chondropathies and/or osteoarthritis who have not responded to other forms of treatment.
