At General Mills, we live out our mission by making a meaningful impact in our hometown communities around the world. Meet Rachel Cornfield, Concurrent Supply Planner (CSP) for our North America Foodservice business who has made a huge impact through her volunteer work with Second Harvest Heartland and MS 150. Rachel first got involved with Second Harvest Heartland in 2016, and currently serves as the co-chair for the General Mills food drive, where she’s helped to raise over $500 thousand in meals for those in need. In 2016, she also joined the MS 150 as a volunteer and in 2018 she became co-captain of the event. “To me, volunteering is a way to support organizations that are close to my heart with not just money, but with my time,” says Cornfield. “As an individual, I can only donate so much, but as a volunteer and a leader, I can have a much greater impact.” When asked how General Mills enables her to give back, she said, “At General Mills there is a culture of giving that it makes it easy to be a force for good. There are countless opportunities that the Global Impact team provides to give back and support the community. Additionally, our senior leaders lead by example and provide support, leadership and guidance to our committees.” Thank you for everything you do, Rachel! #generalmillslife
