🚨 Just published online in Nature Communications "Micropillar arrays, wide window acquisition and AI-based data analysis improve comprehensiveness in multiple proteomic applications". Authors (Manuel Matzinger, Karl Mechtler, Rupert Mayer, et al.) aimed to improve proteomic coverage and dynamic range which is critical for large clinical #proteomics studies. 👇 Micropillar array columns (μPACs) with wide-window acquisition and the AI-based CHIMERYS search engine were used. Excellent proteomic comprehensiveness for bulk proteomics, affinity purification mass spectrometry and single cell proteomics were achieved. Lipidomics data imputation --- Lipidomic data often have missing values, which can fall into different categories like missing completely at random (MCAR), missing at random, or missing not at random (MNAR). To handle these missing values and make statistical analyses more reliable, various imputation techniques are used. During our webinar last week, Dr. Mathias Gerl devoted a substantial amount of time to data imputation. In April the publication devoted to lipidomics data imputation authored by Lipotype researchers and their collaborators was published in Proteomics. This study explores common methods like zero, half-minimum, mean, and median imputation, alongside more advanced ones like k-nearest neighbor and random forest imputation.
