📖 It’s day three of our launch week. Today, we aren’t launching a feature. Instead, we’re sharing the details of how Massdriver works under the hood. Unlike many companies in the ‘DevOps’ space, we don’t see platform engineering as a simple rebranding opportunity on the next hot buzzword. We want to share our experience, knowledge, and tooling in hopes that we can help push the industry forward so we can have more cost efficient, scalable, and secure systems without overwhelming engineers with operations & platform tooling. In Q1, we will be open-sourcing three major components of Massdriver. 1. An IaC abstraction interface and validator that creates a unified interface for Terraform, Helm, OpenTofu, and Pulumi. 2. A pluggable IaC state server that supports intercommunication of state between IaC tools with support for fine-grained access - ever just need to expose a few fields from your state, Bueller? 3. The big one: Our provisioning engine. An IaC agnostic tool that can stitch IaC runs together with any of your policy tooling and defines an event/telemetry system for exposing real-time statuses of deployments and infrastructure provisioning. What a year it’s been! This was my first full year of being a Sr Brand Manager and we completed a TON of work on the brand and influencer side. - First full year of revamped influencer athlete program that brought in millions of dollars worth of content. - 100 + athletes I got to personally interact, coach, and build relationships with. - 6 new private brands launched (4 of them being in Q4 this year). When I reflect, I always like to think about the biggest lesson I learned and for me this year, it’s been the power of relationships. Not only is it important to build them with influencers, but also the partners, vendors, and anyone you interact within your space. Take the time to actually connect because while it’s business, you’re interacting with humans and people that want to be treated like so. #influencermarketing #brandmarketing #relationshipbuilding
