This requires establishing a separate entity known as a bare trust, which will sign the contract and be the purchaser. 📑🏘️  In Queensland, and other jurisdictions, this requirement is vital. However, we've seen many instances where people sign contracts in the name of the SMSF without proper advice, leading to significant issues. Remember, the SMSF itself doesn't hold the property.
