JAPAN PLANS TO SHARE ITS HEALTHCARE EXPERTISE WITH DEVELOPING NATIONS. 🇯🇵 Japan has always been known as a country with the highest average life expectancy among developed countries. Because of this pride, Japan plans to open a global healthcare center by 2025 to share its healthcare expertise with developing countries. 🇯🇵 The center is a collaboration between the Japanese Ministry of Health and Finance, the World Bank and the World Health Organization to train healthcare officials from developing countries. With the main goal of establishing advanced healthcare systems and raising global healthcare standards, interns will learn about Japan's insurance and healthcare systems, as well as have experts design healthcare programs tailored to each country's situation and conditions. 🇯🇵 This model is expected to help developing countries like Japan keep healthcare costs low. Specifically, spending on health care activities accounts for only 2.4% of total consumption of a Japanese household, compared with the OECD average of 3.3%.
