JUST LAUNCHED: Our new Manifesto calls for a community power revolution. We know that local communities are best placed to transform lives and create a fairer society. To achieve this, we're calling on the next government to make five big reforms: 1.Introduce a Community Power Act to strengthen community rights. 2. Create a National Community Ownership Strategy that boosts community ownership and capacity from energy to housing to health. 3. Put communities in charge of local economic development. 4. Make collaboration – not competition - the guiding principle of public services. 5. Champion community-led housing and neighbourhood planning - giving communities a tangible stake in their neighbourhoods. Read the full Manifesto and find out how you can show the next government what our sector can achieve with the right support: https://lnkd.in/eXnTa6wr

The concept of community empowerment invokes a profound resonance, centered on the proactive facilitation of people's essential requisites, dissemination of pertinent information, and facilitation of resource accessibility. A pivotal tenet of this endeavor lies in direct engagement with the community to discern their exigencies and information pursuits. Relying solely on presumptions is an inadequate approach; instead, fostering genuine rapport with community constituents becomes imperative. This approach mandates the cultivation of relationships, thereby unraveling the intricacies of their needs and fostering the provision of requisite services and resource pathways. The inception of this transformative journey entails the sowing of seeds that establish a symbiotic connection with the community, and the subsequent nurturing and cultivation of these seeds materialize as an allegorical community garden.
