It was a pleasure for me to work with early collections of Giorgio Armani during my life as a young fashion agent in Austria: Cernaia Sicons Allegri Hilton and it was impressing for me to follow the start of the Maison Giorgio Armani in Via Durini, Milan. The fantastic development of the brand shows that Giorgio Armani made exactly the right decision 50 years ago. The development of Armani could also be followed in the history of Pitti Uomo: One floor of the palazzo degli affari was deficated to „the brands of Giorgio Armani“ and in the Fortezza there was a fashion show that was so overcrowded that at the entrance warning shots had to be made to calm down the incredibly large crowd. These are my early impressions of the genious designer - an important step of Italian Fashion History!
