7/13/24 “Are you a God?” the Buddha was asked. “No,” he replied.  “Are you an angel, then?” “No.”  “Then what are you?”  Replied the Buddha, “I am awake.” I am reading the book “The World of Shamanism” by Roger Walsh. He points out seven practices that global sages emphasize as essential for a full spiritual life. 1) Living ethically,  2) Transforming emotions,  3) Redirecting motivation,  4) Training attention,  5) Refining awareness,  6) Cultivating wisdom, 7) Serving others.
