Take a few minutes to gain a vivid insight into the experience of three people with disabilities in a world not built for them
Experienced researcher, contractor and consultant specialising in violence prevention, intersectional disability rights and neuro-inclusion.
A friend of mine and fellow advocate, Ana, recently contributed, alongside others, to a project that uses virtual reality to raise awareness of the experiences of people with disabilities and advocate for planning of more inclusive communities. Even as a disabled person myself, I found that watching the videos gave me a powerful insight into what it is like for some of my peers to navigate the community. Have you ever joined a networking group or attended an event and felt like it was a waste of time? ⏰ It starts something like a little open conversations in the beginning… 🗣️ Next, the meeting is called to order and a speaker who talks for about 20 minutes on a topic you may or may not find interesting. 🤦🏼♀️ Then there is the circle of verbal vomit. The 20 people take turns sharing their 30 second pitch that in reality into a 2 minute monologue. 🎯 At the end, if you are lucky, you walk out with a bunch of business cards that you do not need and didn’t really want. 🤷🏼♀️ This type of networking is not working.💯 We felt the pain too so we created something different for female entrepreneurs. 🎉 It’s a visibility collective where we can educate, promote, and develop long lasting business relationships with other women that actually spur growth.✨💃 If this sounds like something that could benefit you, join us at this free event to learn more. ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/gDF-z2XG

Investment Advisor at Raymond James, Retirement, Estate Strategies, Wealth Strategies, Insurance Protection
This applies to male as well as females...
Sheryl Lee Ralph dropped some wisdom: "Be as kind as you can, for as long as you can, to as many people as you can.” The more you put out in the world, the more you get back. So if it’s hard work, compassion, kindness, attention, passion, empathy—give it freely. After all, when you help another woman rise, we all shine. Together, we’ll Keep Climbing. #WomenOnTheRise co-hosted in partnership with Delta Air Lines.

https://lnkd.in/g_rYccVn Part one of a very important topic and something that needs to be addressed and why past generations or our culture has done us wrong because these are the men that we are developing. Toxic, immature, ignorant, and many words that are not polite that would fit describing them. Only a sample of the screen shots. I will show many more.
