Charles Dickens   After four intensive and successful years with the inventor of the discount, it’s time to move on from ALDI Nord Group .   Over the last four years we have celebrated some great achievements and important prerequisites that to make shopping easy for our customers, ensures best possible stock availability and reduces wastage. That all will help to strengthen ALDI’s price leadership position and transfer the benefits toward customers.   I am grateful and proud of what we achieved together as one ALDI Nord Group team. From establishing and growing over 1500 people strong business and technology team across Essen and our ALDI Tech Hub in Krakow, to digitally transforming the entire value chain of ALDI with #AI, #data and analytics driven innovations like fully automatic forecasting and replenishment. I am humbled to have had the opportunity be a part of the ALDI Nord Group leadership team through a important period of transformation. I am especially proud of our “in real life working” prototype of the fastest self checkout product based on #AI and #cameravision technology, the first #customer_loyalty Programm in the company history and our state of the art #digitaltwin enpowered through #ERP and #Cloud technology. This and many other projects, today and tomorrow, form an important pillar in the modernization of ALDI Nord Group   Achieving all that has been possible due to the trust and collaboration from the entire organisation - I am grateful for all the support. Now that the company is expanding its collection to 30.000 items they wonder if it makes sense to insource the fulfilment. Automation, scale and complexity are driving factors in this decision.
