What is the circular economy? This video explains this concept very well. Maybe you've already seen it, but look at it to the end and think that everything can start again... Is there anything more circular? Please DM for credit! #technology #engineering #environment For more: 📌 Follow #ImpressiveEngineering 📌 Click on the 🔔 and select “All”

Nice craft, but this is not circular economy at all. There is no circle, new material is needed to produce new cans. And there is no responsibility of neither producer nor consumer. Producer is simply making money, consumer is irresponsibly doing mess, third party cleans it. Deposit system would enforce the circularity much better: consumer pays some money for the can as such, (s)he gets this money back when the can is returned back in the shop, empty cans goes back to producer, material circles in the loop, no one needs to clean the beach, full costs of material life cycle goes with the product. And actually the first question should be: How sustainable is to melt aluminium can everytime when we want to provide a few sips of water with sugar?

Kind of an engineer, sometimes.

I'm a blacksmith and foundryman, and I can't imagine why he's doing half the things he does in the video. That solder is definitely NOT whats holding those castings together

I love this but would love even more to see focus on upstream waste reduction / zero waste initiatives to eliminate those single use materials from ending up on the beach in the first place - but this is a good circular band aid for our current linear waste stream 🙃

This portrays two messages , you have to see opportunities in every situation, you should always be ready to give values out at all times , wealth comes only when a need is spotted and values are given . He saw needs which was the opportunity,he maximized the opportunity and recycled the wastes into the waste bin , now he has given value back to the community with his service . Now he will come at interval to pick the wasted and recycle them and possibly make more waste bin by also making fortune from this opportunity. Thank you for sharing .

This reminds me of the story about a man that had a city job cleaning and polishing the cannon in the city park. After years of doing his job well, one day he walked into the city managers office to resign. The city manager was surprised that he was quitting and asked, "What are you going to do now?" The man said, "All these years I have been saving up! I bought my own cannon and I'm going into business for myself!"

Giuseppe Masanotti, thank you for sharing such a thought-provoking concept. The circular economy is indeed a powerful notion that can significantly influence our approach to technology, engineering, and environmental sustainability. It's the idea of creating a loop in the lifecycle of products and services to reduce waste and make the most of resources - an important consideration in today's fast-paced digital world. Your video has done an excellent job explaining this complex topic in simple terms. The notion of 'everything starting again' truly captures the essence of sustainability. It implies that nothing goes to waste; everything can be transformed into something new or reused, bringing us closer to achieving a sustainable future. As we navigate through these technological advancements, it's crucial for us all to understand and adapt these principles in our practices. I look forward to more enlightening content

Immense energy demand needed and man power as well, not convinced if this is a clever and sustainable solution that solves the problem. Better try to make people aware to produce less waste, better separate it and more ecological behavior.

Although the success of the secondary product reduces the impact of the littering, I wonder if doing so somehow lessens the urgency and significance of preventing littering. If people know someone is profiting from their littering, does that then encourage it? Just a thought exercise.
