For the second consecutive year Beiersdorf joins CDP’s prestigious “Triple A List” – a list of companies, which demonstrate best practices in addressing environmental impacts throughout their value chains. It is such a great recognition to be amoung the top 10 companies wordwideout of over 21,000 who participated in the ranking.   It affirms our strong efforts to improve the environmental performance of our product portfolio and decarbonize our business as a whole and is a testament to our conviction to drive the sustainability transformation of our industry, while exciting our consumers and delivering exceptional results. Sustainability is not just a business imperative, but also a moral responsibility. We have to holistically care for the planet that sustains us and the communities that rely on it. We are committed to working with our stakeholders to develop and implement innovative solutions that will help us reduce our environmental impact.   This transformation cannot be achieved by single companies working in isolation. It requires a united effort of industry leaders, collaborating to share knowledge, innovate solutions, and drive systemic change. Together we can harness the collective expertise and resources of our industry to create a more sustainable future for all. Yes #weareFerrero and YES I am very inspired by the long term vision of this company, which is reflected in the care for our environment, communities and our people. Very proud to share the 15th Sustainability report of Ferrero showing  important progression in the 4 key pillars of our strategy:  Protecting the environment, Sourcing ingredients sustainably, Promoting responsible consumption and Empowering people. The report is extremely rich, so check out the full version below, but here I leave some highlights: 98% of our palm oil is traceable to plantations, thanks to an amazing program of satellite monitoring that aims at preventing deforestation. The Kinder Joy of Moving program has reached 60 million kids since its launch in 2005 (more than 3.4 million in 2023). Our Global Parental Policy, launched in January 2022, is now in place at all Ferrero locations, it offers paid leave and other benefits to new parents and caregivers, regardless of gender. We have defined a global minimum duration for parental leave for all employees: 16 weeks for primary caregivers and 4 for accompanying caregivers. So much more! #proudferrerian #weareferrero

My journey with CDP at Beiersdorf began almost 5 years ago when I first joined the company. At that time, we weren't on the triple A list, but rather "BAC". However, by 2022, we had climbed to the CDP triple A list and maintained our position in 2023. ❤️ 🥂 🌳 💧 ⚡ What has driven this progress? I hesitate to use the word "success" because we are far from victorious in the fight against climate change, deforestation, biodiversity loss, and all pressing environmental concerns humanity is facing. 📌 It requires a substantial number of people in the company who genuinely believe in the urgency and necessity of sustainability transformation. 📌 It also demands strong commitment from top leadership who value the long-term prosperity of the business. 📌 Moreover, it depends on everyone, regardless of whether 'sustainability' is in their job title, to improve the way we produce, transport, and design our products and conduct our business. The progression from "BAC" to "AAA" is not an easy feat, but Beiersdorf has demonstrated that it's achievable. However, achieving triple A is not our ultimate goal. We are still confronted with a multitude of challenges, one of the significant ones being achieving Net Zero. When I joined the Suntory Group in 2022, one of the aspects I admired was their commitment to sustainability and how it was part of their DNA to be in harmony with people and nature. This World Environment Day, as we launch our latest sustainability report, I can say with honesty that SUNTORY BEVERAGE & FOOD EUROPE is taking significant action to make our business more sustainable and to leave a positive legacy. We Suntorians believe in ‘Growing for Good’, a corporate value which acts as a compass to reduce our impact on the planet and engage with our local communities to create amazing drinks that bring joy and inspire the brilliance of life. Since stepping into the role of CEO earlier this year, I have been incredibly impressed by the passion of our team and the impact this work has had towards achieving our targets. Here are a few highlights from the report: - A 19.4% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions, alongside a 14% reduction in Scope 3, against our 2019 baseline. - On average we now have 44% recycled content in our plastic PET bottles getting us closer to our circularity goal of 50% by 2025. - We made more progress on reducing added sugar in our drinks by 26%. Healthier drink options are a central part of our strategy for our drinks, and this year we continued to increase our range of lower-calorie drinks. - 50% of our SBFE Executive Committee are now women. This is an improvement from last year, as we continue our efforts to support women into leadership roles including the launch of a new Women in Leadership accelerator course. We believe in the Japanese philosophy of #YatteMinahare, which is about having the conviction and courage to dream the impossible, pursue bold goals, and be undaunted by failure. While 2023 presented its own set of challenges, our results reflect the commitment of our teams to transform our business to be more sustainable, reduce our environmental impact and improve social outcomes for our people, partners and communities.
