"#SubseaIntegrationAlliance, comprising #OneSubsea and #Subsea7, has won a long-term strategic agreement with Norway’s state-owned energy giant #Equinor, paving the way for collaboration to begin immediately on early, joint concept studies for two giant oil projects." These are frontier projects: 1. Wisting: located over 300 km north of Hammerfest in the Barents Sea (Arctic). Final Investment Decision (#FID) was postponed in Q4 2022 due to cost estimate increases, amongst other factors. 2. Bay du Nord: located offshore Newfoundland & Labrador (off Canada's east coast) in the Flemish Pass basin, about 500 km northeast of St John's. The project was postponed in May 2023 due to cost pressure. "Thanks to the deal signed by #Equinor and #SubseaIntegrationAlliance in Stavanger work on the maturation of subsea scope will be able to start immediately at the #Wisting field offshore Norway and the #BayDuNord project located off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. I'm Cameron Kirkpatrick, and I'd like to take a moment to share my journey and set the record straight on a few points. Before I laid the foundation for WYRE, a cased-hole e-line company that has recently been integrated into API Perforating, I was deeply involved with GEODynamics. As Vice President, I was part of the leadership team that was instrumental in shaping my approach to business and innovation. Following my tenure at GEODynamics, I ventured into establishing WYRE. During WYRE’s evolution, an opportunity for further innovation became apparent, leading to the birth of Greenwell Engineering. Mid-2022 was a turning point. David Wesson, WYRE’s Board Chairman and a veteran in the oil and gas industry, proposed the idea of an internal engineering division. His insight was invaluable, recognizing the potential of the innovative solutions our field operations team was conceptualizing. As these ideas matured and patents were filed, it became clear that Greenwell Engineering's potential was too significant to remain a subsidiary of WYRE. The decision to spin off Greenwell and secure Series A funding from industry insiders was a strategic move to give these innovations the platform they deserved. I want to emphasize the excitement and promise that Greenwell Engineering's technology portfolio holds. It's not just about business growth; it's about enhancing safety, improving efficiency, and ensuring precision in our industry. Today we celebrate the 2024 Global Safety Day in Innargi. At our site in Aarhus our fantastic drilling and site crews will take a timeout for safety during the day. Here they will reflect on half a year with almost incident free operations. No incidents is of course only a lagging indicator of safety, but it is the output of super competent crews, strong processes and procedures, visible leadership, and focus. Everyday focus on the things that can hurt you and the controls you put in place to handle those risks and hazards. During the last many months our front line crews and our project team have prepared two drill sites inside of Denmark's second largest city. They have mobilised and erected and moved a drilling rig inside the city and drilled 3 wells. They have produced test water and are now getting really close to start constructing our first geothermal heat plan. And all of this for a start-up company with less experience and resources than a traditional oil and gas producer. And all of this with on one minor incident and not lost time injuries. You guys make me proud! In our HQ we will today focus on how diversity can make us safer and our decisions better. We will discuss how not to fall into the groupthink trap and how diversity of thought can help us fight climate change. I hope you all take the time to reflect on health and safety at work.
