As summer approaches, financial advisors face the challenge of ensuring seamless client service while taking well-deserved vacations. To maintain client trust and satisfaction during these periods, managing expectations before heading out on holiday is essential. “Advisors should add an out-of-office alert to their email signature approximately two weeks before their departure, advising clients of the dates they’re away, if they will have phone or e-mail access, and whether there will be no reply or a delay in replying,” says Melissa Harrell, CFP®️, CLU, CHS, a financial planner with McRae Wealth Management in Winnipeg. “It should also include the alternative contacts for who will handle their various needs, such as investments or insurance.” Here are three steps advisors can take.

For those of you that are new here..... Hi, I'm Bartho, 45 years old, living in Port Elizabeth. I've been immersed in business through the restaurant industry since the age of 15, you can do the math. 😉 At 35, I followed my passion for the financial sector and pursued studies to become a registered financial advisor. For the past 4 years, I have been an independent registered financial advisor through a national network, Succession Financial Planning. My office is in the Valley, where I lead an incredible team consisting of short-term insurance advisors, investment experts, life insurance specialists and a marketing enthusiast. Beyond the professional realm, I cherish my time with my amazing wife and daughter whom I adore. We enjoy traveling together, whether it's to watch a F1 race or enjoying a short weekend getaway. In summer we love to go boating and most weekends you'll find us sharing a meal with the people we love.
