Higher Purpose Business As posted in the past, I attended the Principled Business Summit led on-site by Alexander McCobin at Necker Island, Sir Richard Branson's residence. Here's a summary of Prue Leith, another excellent guest at the conference. Prue is very successful in the UK restaurant, catering, and top chef school businesses. She has also received numerous awards and prizes in many categories. In 2021, the late Queen Elizabeth named her Damehood for her business success and contributions to charity, education, and the arts. The theme of her presentation, "How do we prioritize happiness, honesty, transparency, and human relations over money?" was candid and inspiring. Prue's multifaceted career illustrates how her passionate journey drove her acts to innovate and differentiate in the competitive industry. Her passion went beyond financial success. The core motive of staying true to her love for food and commitment to the quality of the service was the Higher Purpose she continued to pursue. It has helped her build a successful business, impacting many constituents, including the board director community. Having a Higher Purpose at the core navigates and creates an outstanding business that differentiates from competitors, motivates employees, and derives a sense of human relations in the firm for mutual success. I was impressed that she is VERY PASSIONATE about contributing to Corporate Governance through her board representation in numerous companies. Her role as a board member, through oversight with a sense of Higher Purpose at each company, will help create corporate values for the shareholders and other stakeholders. #higherpurpose #consciouscapitalism #sustainablebusiness #consciousbusiness #consciousleadership #humancapital #responsiblebusiness #purpose #purposedriven #purposedrivenleadership #richardbranson #corporategovernance #womeninbusiness #womenbusinessowners #womenentrepreneurs

Have you previously won awards for your work? If so, you should consider when you received your most recent recognition as potential customers could be a little cautious if you've not won any awards for several years. It's important to remember that awards should be part of your business strategy each year to retain a strong reputation. #BrandReputation #Awards #AwardWinner #award #awards #august #augustawards #recognition #win #winner #winning #business #success

Award applications can help boost your business. As time passes, many of us go about running our businesses without sparing a moment to reflect on how we got here. Therefore, awards are a fantastic opportunity to celebrate our achievements, however large or small. Many people have never considered it because they just got on with their jobs and thought awards were for others - but once they finally did apply and received that recognition, it gave them a huge confidence boost. Linsey Hardy elaborates on how awards can help your business in Niche Magazine. https://lnkd.in/dy7GWcsD #ThoughtLeaders #AwardSchemes #BusinessRecognition

If you are a business owner, you will know that entering awards can take up time, resources, and can also come with a lot of uncertainty 🤷🏻♂️ Maybe you have thought about entering awards in the past, but the reality is that it gets pushed to the bottom of your list year after year!📃 Interestingly... Award-winning businesses show 63% increase in revenue. 😲 So what are you waiting for? The most common questions / worries that we get asked about are: 🤔 What awards should we go up for? 🥇 Are we even ready to win awards? 💰 What's the value of entering them? 👩🏻⚖️ How do we even know what the judges are looking for? Check out this video below where I explain why entering awards can be so impactful for your business. If you would like to raise your profile and enter awards in 2024 I would love to chat with you! 🫱🏼🫲🏼 https://lnkd.in/ePEfm6kJ
