Such a beautiful day for the 2nd Annual BGIS Charity Golf Tournament. Krisha Brooks, P.E., Scott Crawford, and Jason Ross were joined by Tracey DeVille today. It was hot, but so worthwhile! It is an honor to support The Jed Foundation and Operation Healing Forces. We have gotten the opportunity to witness the impact they both have had on our communities. We appreciate The Jed Foundation’s work in addressing mental health concerns with America's teens and young adults. It has also been inspirational to witness Operation Healing Forces’s efforts in promoting long-term mental, physical, emotional, and fiscal well-being for our ill, injured, and fallen Special Operations Forces service members. BGIS, you made a difference today—thank you for letting us be part of today! #GMR #BGIS #MentalHealthMatters #JEDImpact #CreatingBondsThatCure

Did you wake up today and feel like life is just not worth living? Well, I hope not. But just for a moment as you read that question, you might have glimpsed an insight into the dark world that many people suffering from mental health disorders can face on a daily basis. And unlike the physical health ups and downs that we all experience as a normal part of life, untreated mental health issues can spread like its inky blackness to all corners of a person's life for many years. There are many noble causes to champion, but it is the invisible and life long suffering that I have seen in good people with mental health issues that really concerns me, and especially young people in the complex world we have created for them to live in. I'd like to ask you to help me do something about it. This year is my fourth year leading a team of Port Melbourne legends in the Push Up Challenge. It's a simple thing (sort of). We each do one push up for every life lost to suicide last year over 24 days, and ask you to donate to the cause. Unfortunately that means each of us needs to do 3,249 push-ups, but we will get there! To donate go to my challenge page: https://lnkd.in/gpNeD8DP And of course, you will get a receipt to claim as your donation is tax deductible. My donations are going to Headspace. Even if you don't donate, thanks for reading this far and spending a moment focusing on mental health. Perhaps you know someone to ask RUOK.

K, forgot to post on here last night (was a bit busy) and before the clock strikes 12 here wanted to make sure you remember that you're human. We all make mistakes. It's how we learn. We can't succeed without first learning what failure is. We appreciate things more when we learn what we may have lost. This is why usually when you get older, material items don't hold as much significance as time with others and memories made. All things that sometimes a person struggling with mental health can't comprehend because their view point is skewed. So I just want to say, take it easy on yourself. If just for today. There's still time to sign for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention - National Capital Area Chapter #OutoftheDarkness walk being held Sat 10/21. Raise $150 and you get a shirt. Donate to an individual, a team, the cause in general. Walk and don't raise money at all, but enjoy the laughs as we continue to remember and think of those that struggle with these thoughts. (here's what you can get if you're competitive like me 😉 https://lnkd.in/e5ryCkKj ) American Foundation for Suicide Prevention #StopsuicideNCAC #breakthestigma #suicideawareness #afsp

💪🔥 A MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone who stood tall with us during our MOvember campaign. You've shown that you're not just part of the crowd, but warriors in the fight against male suicide and mental health stigma. Because of YOU, we've raised enough funds to provide FIVE NCSPT Suicide Intervention Training Courses with our unique Tough Talker bolt-on course. This means we can reach more men in male-dominated spaces, empowering them, giving them a voice, and showing them it's #ToughToTalk but even tougher to stay silent. A special, roaring shout-out to our charity partner, Cooper Parry! 🙌 Their team, led by the unstoppable CP Legends - Lydia, Eryn, Latoyah and April - have been absolute powerhouses, raising HALF the funds single-handedly. Partnerships like this aren't just about raising money. They're about saving lives. Cooper Parry, you've embraced our mission to destroy the stigma and reduce male suicide. You've shown what it means to be an ally, a fighter, a lifesaver. Together, we are making a difference. Together, we are breaking the silence. Because it's #ToughToTalk, but together we're making it possible. 🔥💪 Onward, Warriors! Let's keep the momentum going. The fight isn't over, but we know we're not fighting alone with you in our corner. 👊🚀 #ToughToTalk #FightTheStigma #MensMentalHealth #NoMoreSilence #SpeakUpStandStrong #LifeSavers #MentalWarriors #BreakTheStigma #ManUpSpeakUp #StrongerTogether

Registration is now open for June 22.
We are excited to collaborate with Millennium Health and Blacktop Restaurant Group on June 22 at our surf therapy camp in La Jolla in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month. Both groups will bring employee volunteers and Millennium Health will host an information booth to educate our attendees on the topic of fentanyl. This camp is also made possible by donations made by several donors, grants made possible by the San Diego Foundation, and the CA Coastal Conservancy. Thank you to our generous supporters and partners for helping us address, as a unique community collaboration, the mental health needs of our youngest survivors of domestic violence, abandonment, and neglect.

Consider donating to the Center for Health and Learning (CHL) and the Vermont Suicide Prevention Center (VTSPC). At CHL, we are inspired by the partnerships we have formed and the collective vision to prevent suicide, train individuals in mental health, and equip everyone with the ability to recognize symptoms of suicidality and provide support. However, we cannot do this alone. Contributions of every size make an impact! Please contribute today to support our collective work. https://lnkd.in/epdrg4Xt

#TeachableTuesday 👨👩👧👦 Declutter for a Cause 🌟 February is "Declutter For A Cause Month," encouraging individuals to tidy up their homes and donate unused items to charities, highlighting the connections between decluttering, cleaning, and mental health. Here are tips for your family to contribute to a good cause while enhancing mental well-being 🌈. Schedule regular family declutter events. In order to really help your family declutter, regular cleaning out sessions are super helpful. I know, I know, your family has no desire to participate in a decluttering event. But again, remember you are the parent. This is something you can decide needs to take place, at least with the kids. Contact NYPCC to learn more about child and family counseling services, visit www.nypcc.org/get-help 💚 #MentalHealth #CaringfortheCommunity #NYPCC #NYC #Parenting #PositiveParenting #FamilyWellness #ParentingTips #Children #Family #Wellness #Declutter #DeclutterforaCause
