Bringing in the right talent is crucial for this, with Jim Bartel joining as the CEO! Jim will use his 25years of Med Device and CMO experience from companies such as Spectralytics, Inc. (Cretex Company) and Stratasys to provide the right direction for the 150+ team at Vantage. Trevor Wahlbrink, CFA (Partner at Ampersand) says, "We are thrilled to have Jim join the Vantage team... His experience, commitment to quality, and teamwork mentality will prove invaluable to Vantage’s growth strategy." ⭐ Mack Molding Company With the announcement of long time serving President at MACK, Jeffrey Somple retiring this autumn/fall. MACK have announced that Joshua Pang will be taking over their 'Northern Division'. This division of MACK offers a complete vertical integration of services, including product design & development, prototyping, sheet metal fabrication, full-service machining, custom injection molding, and total product assembly up to and including Class III PMA medical device manufacturing. ⭐ Resolution Medical Even though my role covers people switching roles for their career progression, it's always good to see companies promoting internally and rewarding long serving employees. Jon Ewert has been promoted to COO at Resolution Medical. 𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬!   I previously wrote about the #revenue of some of the top #medical companies over the years. On average the revenue #growth of these companies has been roughly 100% over the last 15 years, i.e. compound annual growth rate of 5%. But the revenue growth has not been the same for all these companies though.   The following are some of the fastest growing medical companies by revenue growth over the last 15 years 1. Mindray 2. Intuitive 3. EssilorLuxottica 4. ResMed 5. Edwards Lifesciences 6. Thermo Fisher Scientific 7. United Imaging Healthcare 8. STERIS 9. IQVIA 10. 𝐅𝐔𝐉𝐈𝐅𝐈𝐋𝐌 Healthcare   Time will tell if these companies can maintain their momentum in coming years.   𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 Top-line growth is one of the key factors, when it comes to evaluation of financial strength of a business, but it also has its own limitations. Revenue growth alone does not fully represent the company's performance, as it benefits from #acquisitions and suffers from #divestitures. Additionally, companies with smaller revenues are typically better positioned to have higher growth, as growing the revenue from $1B to $2B is very different than growing it from $20B to $40B. To gain a deeper understanding of each of these companies, one must dive into their strategy, business model, product portfolio, global operations, and their overall financial and economics.   * For FUJIFILM, Roche, Johnson & Johnson I only included the revenue growth from their Medical/Diagnostics division. For non-US companies like Philips, Siemens Healthineers, B. Braun Group, Roche, FUJIFILM I used their revenue in their original currency and avoided conversion to USD.  For United Imaging I only looked at the growth over the past 5 years, as it recently went public. The level of growth that United Imaging has achieved in this period is comparable to what many companies have accomplished over 15 years, which is remarkable. For Philips I excluded the revenue from their "Lighting" division and only included the revenue from "Healthcare & Consumer Lifestyle". Philips divested 80% of its Consumer Lifestyle over the years. * Views and ideas are my own. The content that I provide here are intended to be educational only and are not financial advice.
