We fill our lives with "busy" and distractions. The little downtime we have is reserved for the escapism of TV and other entertainment. Instead, I would encourage you to be purposeful and set aside time for personal reflection and contemplation. We're only going to be here once. Make sure to check in with yourself regularly to ensure your actions and activities are aligned with the type of life you want to live and the legacy you want to leave. Reflection and contemplation lead to a heightened sense of self awareness. #SelfReflection #SelfAwareness

Performing 8 shows a week feels hard because it IS hard! One of the most important things you can do to set yourself up for success is to make sure you are fuelling consistently. Try to eat a meal or snack every 2–3 hours. Make it your priority. Performers are often so busy between auditions, rehearsals, and performances that they forget to eat–I get it. As a result, they end up waiting until they are feeling extreme hunger to do so. But the problem is that intense physical activity can blunt hunger signals, so if you are feeling extreme hunger, you have already started depleting your energy reserves. This makes you more prone to injury and poor recovery, and you will have less power, energy, and stamina for your performance. What brings you joy in your life? Here’s a recent reflection on this for you from Michael… I had a fantastic conversation about this with a friend last year, and I reflected afterwards that I wanted more joy- not just happiness or success- more joy in my life: both to give it and to receive it. So here’s one things I’ve now made a priority: I go with my mum and dad to the theatre regularly! We get dressed up, usually on a Thursday night, and out we go! We have been 4 times now, and I regret none of them. Those Thursdays have been invested- we have watched thought provoking stuff, we have laughed, we have just enjoyed being together. Being with them brings me joy, it’s quite simple. Joy is both deeper and lighter than many other human emotions- for me, it says to me, “Life can be amazing, right here, right now.” Not when you have completed your latest project, not when you have that new client which you want, just right now. There can be joy. I wish you much joy in your life today- go explore what brings it into your life! You won’t regret it 🥰 Also, how amazing do my parents look in their best clothes? LIVING THEATRE Another day in the box waiting for nightfall.  That is when caged siren sings, mournfully, hauntingly.  This is where our stage play starts.  Take the ride your tethered mind could never allow. We have met the enemy, for they are us, just one shadow away.  * Human newborn imbued with alien soul.  Where the human soul is taken, if it survives, who knows?  * She screams for her child. Deeply under sedation, it is but hallucination. No one hears her. None understand why she insists this child is not hers.  * After months of constant reinforcement, she accepts. This child is her own. The child, not so clearly subject to social norms, cannot accept this mam, or for that matter, this sham society, as its rightful place. *  Pitched sweep of surreal pageantry, fantastic yet detailed with lucidity, captured from halls of enchanted lamps begging to enlighten. *  Today is about yes pure bright reds unblended. Fruit of Eden to carry in sultry saddlebags for sustenance in high desert.  * Ride the current. Breathe the moment. Embody radiant energies streaming live.  * Impeccable action is full and complete defense. To embrace vast edgeless awareness. To love exuberant outrageous self is reward and salvation.  * That small flickering insistence finds smolder of resource within to make another plan when broken path has been obscured or destroyed.  * Children desiccated, forgotten flowers on fields of war.  * Where does loathing fear originate? Why do we insist on a myth of childhood bliss when growth grapples intertwined in plight? Drive to acclimate:  decide whose got the might that makes them right, how to win favorable gaze — who to hail; who to hate. *  Grief, anxiety, any emotional signal prized as such. Instead of fight or flee, impulse to ask emergent feeling: what have you come to advise? Often telling stories rise distilled from ambient well of hostility. Journeying around the realm of bliss does not deny experience from other sources. It helps to clarify lines, strings, coloration outside of fraudulent choice to kill or be killed.

The intersection of Theatre, Storytelling, Self-Awareness, and Leadership Development is "one" of my passions. Include Diversity and Inclusion, Neurodiversity, and a little Dancing in there and we have a "perfect storm". Yes, people might argue that it's #MusicalTheatre specifically, but really it's the power that storytelling (in any format, be it song, dance, movies, series, books, plays, poetry, etc.) to influence who we are, who we become and how we express ourselves. ✨How do I end up going to a show about lived experiences and trauma while on holiday from my lived experince role 😂?? Loved it! ✨ 🖤Great show at the Edinburgh Fringe , and an an incredibly thought-provoking debate about class and trauma 🌱A topic that's often shied away from, even within lived experience work ✨With many of us lacking access to advantages and resources that may have been otherwise. 🖤This made me think about how we can level access to opportunities, equitable pay and resources within workplaces alongside folk with lived experience ✨And it helped me to put some more fire in my belly for what Lived Experience Advisory Directory - LEAD mission is 🌱To help workplaces to do the best they can to ensure people with lived experience have the best from them 🖤And support individuals to feel like they have an organisation behind them no matter where they've come through, lived through or are still experiencing. ✨Being valued for who you are trauma and all, shouldn't be a class thing. #livedexperience #leadership
