#Algae are hidden chance from nature and we should use them in #agriculture. Algae remove a lot of carbon and nitrogen from the air and fix it in their biomass. This biomass is a wonderful source for improving #soil fertility. If our human-made lakes, especially in Germany, are home for a lot of algae, we should partly harvest them and incorporate them into the soil. We can cover the soil with them. As a result, the biomass rots, many nutrients are released and taken up by many microorganisms in the soil. This increases soil fertility and is active #climateaction, mitigation as well as adaptation.
