Cybersecurity, OT and Critical Systems Leader

A note for the junior sales people out there: A sure fire way to tick off a prospective client is to call their cell phone on a statutory holiday in their country. For example, if you work for a US firm and you want to call people in Canada, don’t call us on a Holiday Monday. Likewise, it is also in poor taste to call anyone at an American company on US Thanksgiving. Want to be successful in sales? Do your homework first before picking up the phone.

This applies to Recruiters/headhunters too. Do a bit of research before you reach out.

Graham, I would add to this, be aware of timezones and stop calling people at 6 or 7 am. There are many timezones in this Country, be aware of timezones when making calls.
