A lot of work from some very amazing teams went into creating this video to help launch Grant Thornton International's annual Women in Business report — the landmark 20th year of our research into the number of women occupying senior leadership roles in global mid-market businesses. However, the message behind the video was worth all of the work and more. In 2024, only 33.5% of senior management positions are held by women. Without a greater level of intent and decisiveness from businesses, parity for women in senior management won’t be reached until 2053 at the current rate. More needs to be done, so we've identified three pathways to parity that can help businesses accelerate progress.
