What are the most powerful climate actions you can take? The expert view: 1. Vote- half of the world’s population is voting this year so vote for politicians who pledge strong climate measures. Laws and public fundings can make the greatest difference. Europe should lead the way. 2- reduce flying and fossil-fuel powered transport in favour of electric and public transport: walk, take the train, a bike … it’s also better for your health 3- eat less meat - and change your heating/ cooling system 4- protest, make your voice heard

I emailed one of my prospective election candidates last week asking what his personal and party stance was on climate change. I was actually really pleased with his answer which covered (at some level), all the key things I believe Government should be doing about climate change. For me, it was less about what he actually said, and more about trying to influence views on actions/policies/priorities should they get into a position of power. ❌ Have you emailed your candidates yet? ❌ If not, will you do likewise? ❌ What is your view on trying to influence policies this way?
