My Mardi Gras 2024 Concerns Just posted on X: "As a #SafeFunCreator beside cool clients & clientele, my acute Mardi Gras 2024 concerns are mass casualty events of local origin using crowds as backdrops and terrorism of overseas origin. Just TOO much unbound bad energy angrily seeking events to use as stages. #SafeFunByCap" We've got a surplus of people who don't play well with others anxious to use the biggest event of the year as a platform for violent egotism, with out of town violent egotists commuting chaos our way too. They'll collide with a State Police force that doesn't mind playing rough, with New Orleans downtown and surrounding areas serving as a possible battlefield for these factions. Mix in political accelerant of a toxic presidential election cycle and America supporting at least two wars and counting, and the net result is that I'm worried about Mardi Gras Safety more this year than other ones. Event planners, business owners and last but never least, party people out there, take time while having a good time to watch each other's backs or get someone to do it for you. Domestic crime and international terror both look at widespread revelry and see opportunity. A signature celebration like Mardi Gras is simply too tempting a target not to be at least considered by violent egotists. These are my Mardi Gras 2024 concerns.
