From 2007-2021, while UK beer sales fell by -16%, BrewDog expanded by 854%, doubling revenue for 6 consecutive years. You may have heard of them when they launched a label with Vladimir Putin in drag, or when they drove a tank through the streets of London, or when they projected a photograph of its naked founders onto the UK Houses of Parliament. The company's success is a testament to the power of punk as a business strategy. Each provocative stunt proved that they were creating a new category, not a new entrant. Each fight built loving solidarity with their community. It separated them from their boring, stagnant, stale competitors. In this Business Punk Case Study, we explore the company that inspired my company. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Brewdog. #entrepreneur #intrapreneur #brand
