Great collaboration with Paul Brennan Matthew Holland Liam Wilbraham Dom Miketa Víctor Sebastián Pérez Anthony Bradley Exscientia Background: Heterocycles are key scaffolds in #medchem, yet many remain to be synthesised; current #retrosynthesis models often fail due to limited data This work: Here we explored four #transferlearning methods to overcome this challenge, focusing on improving ring-breaking disconnections. Our mixed fine-tuned model demonstrated superior performance, facilitating multi-step retrosynthesis of heterocycle-containing drug-like compounds We showcase its utility in drug discovery by recreating synthetic routes to recently reported drug-like molecules.
