I am honoured that HSC has been nominated for Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards 2023. We will be competing in the "Industrial HC-I" Category for our innovation for Subsurface Utility Mapping. Asia Pacific ICT Alliance, is an association of ICT communities nominated by the member economies in the region, who come together in the spirit of collaboration, forming a cooperative network to promote technology innovation and encouraging the development of indigenous ICT solutions for the global market. APICTA’s 16 member-economies work together to assist in bridging the digital divide amongst the member countries which include Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macao, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam. We will be heading down to APICTA Awards 2023 in Cyberport, Hong Kong. The results will be announced on 8 December during the Awards Night. Our innovation maps out the exact alignment of underground utilities. The mapped utilities allows Project Team to know the available corridor for work instead of doing multiple trial holes. This enables more intelligent construction and higher project efficiency. Having more efficient planning allows for reduced construction time, and the inconvenience that road works causes to the public. Our innovation is gaining recognition in locally and regionally. This is a testament to the potential positive impact that it can bring to construction industry in different countries, as un-mapped utilities is a global issue. The SPIRE-SAIS project survey is open until the end of March! The energy-intensive industries are facing profound changes, including decarbonisation, implementation of new technologies and #digitalisation as well practices of circular economy and industrial symbiosis – phenomena that are changing the usual workflows and require adaptation of #skills and practices. The SPIRE-SAIS project is developing a European Framework to address skill shortages in advance and capture the actual needs of the European industry continuously. The project is currently conducting a survey to capture the situation across our #EII sectors. What are the required skills, which occupations are affected and is the employment market able to close the shortages that are expected to emerge in times of transformations? 📁 💼 On Wednesday, April 10th 2024 the RELiEF Consortium met in Bruxelles with our EC Project Officer from CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency for its 1st Interim Review. This traceability is essential for several use cases, including ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, bolstering supply chain security, and enhancing product lifecycle transparency. By implementing vDPPs, stakeholders can verify the authenticity and sustainability credentials of materials and products, promoting responsible sourcing and production. This capability is particularly significant in sectors such as electronics, textiles, green steel, and automotive, where material provenance directly impacts recycling and reuse processes. We're proud to announce the launch of the TEPLO project!  ReThink, Neo-Eco Ukraine, MATEK AS, and Ro3kvit: Urban Coalition for Ukraine have launched a pioneering initiative dedicated to renovating a Soviet-era residential building in the #Chernihiv region in #Ukraine, using prefabricated #biobased panels. The project is supported by the EU LIFE Programme, contributing to the EU's mission to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. Our Rationale ➡️ Energy inefficiency: Upgrading an outdated structure with prefabricated bio-based panels to maximize energy savings and resident well-being. ➡️ Circular construction: Showcasing the potential of prefabrication and bio-based materials for a sustainable future.  ➡️ Community empowerment: Interactive workshops to promote knowledge exchange and resident participation in the renovation process. This project aims to showcase the untapped potential of prefabrication and bio-based materials in #Ukraine. In addition, we aspire to equip architects, engineers, and homeowner associations (OSBB) with the knowledge and tools necessary to lead the charge toward circular renovations, fostering a sustainable and energy-efficient future.
