Here is one of my favorite topics: the incredible story of SG with a truculent past and present news to share. First, some readers approached me to understand the most significant event since 2000: the Kerviel Episode. The bank lost a staggering €4.9bln due to the actions of one trader, leaving many bewildered. Recently, the CFO, despite a major risk management oversight, was promoted to CEO. The market value of SG remained stagnant over three decades, while its competitor, BNPP, thrived. A new CEO has been appointed, but recent missteps have caused fluctuations in the company's share price. I believe the market has given a short window for the new CEO to prove himself. I propose a new strategy focusing on top-line growth rather than cost-cutting. I am prepared to collaborate, leveraging my expertise to create synergy and drive results. Furthermore, SG is rumored to be up for sale by year-end, with potential acquirers offering a premium. However, political affiliations may favor BNPP in the end.
