It has very high #hardness in relation to other #metals.🦾 There may be huge difference in the material hardness regarding the chemical composition of tungsten carbide. Usually the hardness can reach HRA92~94 for the application of optical precision moulds. Optical moulds may have features such as micro-holes, threads, and slots according to different application. #Surface #quality (surface #roughness and tool marks) of the slots will have great influence on the product.⚠️ In conventional #CNC #machining, strong cutting forces and constant contact between tool and workpiece would accelerate and intensify tool wear. The rapid wear of tool increases the #friction between tool and workpiece, resulting in serious damage to the surface quality❗️❗️ The high #frequency #micro-#vibration of HIT ultrasonic-assisted machining technology allowed for #intermittent contact between the tool and workpiece. This brought better #inflow of the cutting fluid, offering better #cooling effect.💦 With easier #chip and carbonized diamond powder #evacuation, the tool wear and cutting #forces were immensely reduced. What is die casting? Die casting is a metal casting process that is characterized by forcing molten metal under high pressure into a mold cavity. The mold cavity is created using two hardened tool steel dies which have been machined into shape and work similarly to an injection mold during the process. Most die castings are made from non-ferrous metals, specifically zinc, copper, aluminium, magnesium, lead, pewter, and tin-based alloys.
