Yesterday, I had the privilege of participating in the first Irish Transportation Roundtable, bringing together key stakeholders from across the Irish transportation landscape. It was an invigorating experience to witness the passion and dedication of everyone involved, as we engaged in open dialogue, sharing challenges, ideas, and insights. The transportation sector is undeniably complex, with the constant demand to synchronize operations with the availability of resources like rolling stock, transport plans, skilled staff, and infrastructure, all while prioritizing customer satisfaction. Navigating through a hybrid landscape of on-premises and cloud applications, legacy systems, cutting-edge new applications and new SaaS platforms presents its own set of challenges. One of the focal points of our discussion was the role of artificial intelligence in supporting these transformative efforts. AI holds immense potential to streamline operations, optimize resource allocation, and enhance decision-making processes in the transportation industry. From predictive maintenance to route optimization, AI-powered solutions can revolutionize how we address the myriad challenges we face. As we continue to navigate the complexities of the transportation landscape, collaboration and AI supported innovation will be key. Special kudos to Nigel Cunningham and the Irish team for organizing this event. Looking forward to the following edition! #Transportation #AI #Innovation #Collaboration #IrishTransportation #RoundtableDiscussion
