In pursuit of a deeper understanding of the Sittig Technologies-Xovis interface, we launched and supervised a bachelor thesis project at ZHAW Zürcher Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften. Alongside Deniz Arslan, I had the pleasure supervising the thesis of Olivier Padovan and Lena Hug, which has culminated in the insightful whitepaper, 'Capturing Synergies at Silent Airports'. Yesterday, NASAO members Becca Gallas, PE (NCDOT Division of Aviation) and Clement Solomon (Georgia Department of Transportation) spoke at XPONENTIAL, an educational program which brings together experts on uncrewed systems and autonomy. North Carolina and Georgia are paving the way for EV development in their states to help cut greenhouse emissions and reduce the cost of aircraft operations. Gallas and Solomon’s session, titled “Electrifying State Air Transportation Infrastructure,” discussed the infrastructure, investments and guidance needed for states, communities, airports, and companies to usher in the era of electric air and multimodal transportation. Their insights underscore the collaborative effort required to embrace the future of #sustainable and efficient #transportation.

𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗖-𝗜𝗧𝗦 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀! 🚛📡✨ Yesterday, we participated in the C-ITS in Austria webinar, gaining key insights into the deployment of 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 (𝗖-𝗜𝗧𝗦) across Europe. Codognotto believes C-ITS services are vital for enabling effective data exchange through wireless communication technologies among components and actors in the transport system, often between vehicles (vehicle-to-vehicle, or V2V) or between vehicles and infrastructure (vehicle-to-infrastructure, or V2I). This evolutionary and holistic process aims to 𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆. We are currently adopting this technology by connecting our trucks with major service providers at the EU level.
