For my recent project, I used SketchUp and D5 Render to design an Art Center for a client, incorporating extensive AI features to enhance both modeling and rendering processes. 🖼️ SketchUp enabled us to create detailed, accurate 3D models, from initial concepts to complex architectural elements. 🏗️ AI tools streamlined the workflow by automating repetitive tasks and optimizing design integrity. 🚀 The visualization world business is facing the adaptation to a new model that will rule every rendering process from now on, determined by: ⭐️ The new star, Interactive rendering: less hardware power, less rendering time, better results. 📈Increased competition between large suppliers, and the appearance of new innovative offers. 🤖The integration of AI showing up with a promise to ease up modeling and effects generation. Lately, the well known SketchUp 3d modeling Software has been working on the application of a very powerful plugin that allows you to render inside sketchup, leaving behind the need to synchronize to another rendering software to obtain images. Another relevant contestor in the world of visualization is the D5 Render engine. With a massive and overwhelming marketing campaign has won a significant recognition in the media, being everytime an step closer to his relatives Lumion and Twinmotion. One of the latest improvements is the use of AI to generate images from scratch with an incredible quality and definition. Throughout a concise written description and some quick setting some stunning scenes can be created within seconds, something unthinkable until today. Without a doubt, we are going through a time of great revolution on the part of developers, and this puts us in the challenge of constant updating. Will we be able to keep up?

I firmly stand by the conceptual design sketching (the brain-hand dialogue) over hyper-realistic rendering software. The human touch it embodies, shaped by years of experiences, emotions, contemplation, and intentions, encapsulates a depth of history and empathy that surpasses the abilities of any AI. Not only does sketching provide the flexibility and engagement that developers and "stakeholders" (oh how I hate to use this business word!) desire to influence the vision, but it also ensures it turns them into active participants in shaping that vision rather than mere recipients of the "architect's brilliance". 🏫 Some would refer to it as the useful-verse, while others might call it the immersive twin, and both perspectives would be relatively correct. There's a lot of talk about both the Meta-verse and Digital Twin, yet they often lack a clear purpose! In this brief video, I demonstrate how you can create an environment by combining a photogrammetric model (from Sensori) with assets from the SketchUp 3D Warehouse. The objective is to establish a common environment where users can gain insights into scanning with an SX12 and Trimble Access, specifically for a wall deformation inspection. I've recorded a live demo showcasing how I would carry out this type of work and shared some techniques for analyzing and quickly generating reports directly in the field. Many architectural visualizations don't use 2D people in their renders because sometimes it takes a lot of time and effort to make a high-quality organic 2D people integration.
