Great advice Greg! I thought about the importance of what I could contribute but also about the opportunity to fill in some of my areas of focus. Serving on a board of a PE backed company has been an incredible learning and growth journey.

It’s critical for an aspiring board member to know their strengths are and whether that unique set of skills and experience could be utilized and useful to the company and its shareholders. Bob Arciniaga has rightly said that if you have to twist yourself and your board bio in order to fit into a board spec, it isn’t going to be a fit for them, or for you.
