Had a great Freshmen and Transfer Student Orientation at High Point University today! #HPU365 1:45 - Welcome & Introduction to Academics presented with Dana Bragg , Daniel Erb , and three extraordinary panelists Mary Kate Hewitt , Tyler Goetz, and Kendall Mcdowell. 3:30 & 4:20 - Orientation to Your Major with Jenna Ferraro , Ryan Donaldson , and a few brave Summer Advantage (Freshmen starting in July).

I made a dynamic table using the 2023 American Time Use Survey released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics on June 27th. May you all spend some quality time with friends and family this 4th of July!! Wow! What an exciting High Point University Freshmen Orientation kickoff! I had the privilege of co-presenting our Academic Showcase at the Conference Center with Kerr C. Ramsay III and Daniel Erb - at the end I ran an outstanding panel with students Jardel Javier , Jack Moreland , and Kendall Mcdowell ! Then Jardel and I hopped a golf cart to Phillips to give back 2 back the Orientation to Your Major presentations for our business students with Tanner Rothenberger ! Also, got to show off our new digital business screen by using the filters on my Tableau viz of the students and majors as an icebreaker.

The Consumer Price Index News Release was today, and the annual inflation rate is taming to 3.3%. This Fed may finally relieve the pain of high interest rates, but what about the pain of cumulative inflation? Prices have increased overall by 23% over the last five years (in some categories by up to 47%). Check out this viz I made to see where your greenbacks have faded the most in purchasing power.

Final day at #HomeDeliveryWorld #TheMiddleMile - first I wanted to say thanks to Terrapinn for hosting a great event! I felt so welcomed by the staff, especially the first one I met - Kaylie Brogan - my former graduate student at High Point University ! So many people I met knew someone who’s kids are going to HPU, an alum’s fiancé, and heard such great things! #HPU365 It was great to converse with my National Home Delivery Association friends, see their companies’ booths - Evan Dill with Enterprise Truck Rental, Ryder System, Inc. , RXO, Inc. @AIT Logistics, SCI, Openforce , and make many new friends while learning about the middle and final mile in home deliveries. It was great to share our High Point University - Executive Education experience with the NHDA!

I came to the Home Delivery World USA #MiddleMile #HDW2024 expo and presented my faculty’s and Andy Bills ‘ work in the High Point University - Executive Education Program experience delivered for the National Home Delivery Association. It was great to see the NHDA members who also supported the program along with Leadership Institute Fellows Jacob Guttman and Evan Dill there, but I have one more day to find more or at least their booths like I did for Josh Olinik to see his FragilePAK buddies!
