Last week I had the opportunity to meet the new Spanish stakeholders in person, where the focus was on strengthening relationships and gaining first-hand insights into our projects. 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: One of the most rewarding aspects of the trip was the opportunity to connect with our valued stakeholders. Engaging in meaningful conversations, sharing perspectives, and deepening our relationships were invaluable. These interactions have set a strong foundation for future collaborations and success. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘀: Visiting our ongoing projects in Spain was a great experience. Seeing the progress first-hand and meeting the dedicated teams working on the ground reinforced the importance of our collective efforts. The site visits provided critical insights that will help us optimize our strategies and ensure the successful execution of our initiatives. The GRI Club is always one step ahead in the search for innovation, alternative solutions and strategies that further facilitate the exchange and connection between members and market players, allowing for a constant debate on relevant topics aimed at promoting enriching networking across all sectors. From this perspective, the GRI announces the reformulation and reactivation of global committees focused on the main real estate themes and composed of C-level executives from different countries and continents: Hospitality, Light Industrial & Logistics, BTR & Multifamily, Future Retail, Future Offices and Workspaces. Looking to the future, recent changes introduced by AI and new technologies, the growing need for funding for real estate projects and the focus on tenant experience, among other new scenarios, have resulted in the creation of new committees dedicated to each of these themes: Data Centres, Single Family Offices, Logistics End Users. It is always gratifying to come together in an international conference with like- minded, passionate people. We just recently concluded  our first post pandemic Culture in the Workplace™, a Line of Business of ODE Consulting®, Partners’ Conference in Amsterdam from Oct 4 to 5. The date was specially chosen to coincide with the birthday of the late Professor Geert Hofstede, the father of Cross Culture research, and which ODE is globally the sole licensee of his seminal research and work. Our partners from the US, Europe and Asia attended the conference. The Theme of the conference was: 🤝 Gratitude 🤲 Understanding 💡 Connecting and ⚡ Impact.  Coming out of the 3 year pandemic which prevented us from coming together, there was much that we were grateful for, stories of resilience and overcoming challenges were shared. Building on those stories were a better understanding of how success was driven by each partner in terms of the success stories using the Hofstede Culture in the Workplace Questionnaire™ to deliver impactful solutions to meet client needs. Through the conversations and connecting on our shared needs, we were able to arrive at the strategies and solutions that will drive impact in the markets we choose to serve. So much of what drives impact is our ability to discern our client’s needs and to be able to provide a way to illuminate on the challenge (using Hofstede Culture in the Workplace Questionnaire™) so there is clarity in the approach to addressing their challenges. There is no greater gift that we can give to each other in this troubled world than the desire to listen not only with  our minds but also with our hearts. Through listening to each other we are moving forward with shared aspirations, strategies and solutions that will drive impact. Last week we had the incredible task of getting together to define our vision, mission and transform this into our objectives for the next years... P&C People Sustainability Strategy 🎯 A newly created team looking at diverse topics, with diverse members, meeting F2F for the first time.... quite an interesting challenge! The culture of an organisation affects how the organisation operates at every level and ultimately how work gets done. In an ever-changing and complex world, a priority for many organisations is ensuring that their culture is fit for the future and underpins sustainability. Culture is woven from a variety of strands and affects everything from the methods employees use to communicate and make decisions to the way the organisation is perceived by outsiders. Consequently, the organisation’s culture is central to both its ability to attract and retain employees and to its relationships with customers, suppliers and providers of funds. In CBRE, the Leaders make a conscious decision before trying to change the culture of the organisation. They will need to change the prevailing culture if the culture is causing the organisation to contravene legislation or if it is damaging the organisation’s ability to function effectively. Changing culture, however, is a difficult task and it takes time.
