If you weren’t there: 1) The industry isn’t sized the way you think of it historically; it’s two orders of magnitude larger. 2) The artist-fan relationship isn’t what it used to be; you think Rihanna, therefore Navy, when increasingly, it’s Navy, therefore Rihanna. 3) The speed of a breakout hit is 10x what it used to be just 5 years ago; the half-life of popularity, 1/10th of what it was a decade ago. 4) The import-export ratio of American musical hegemony is inverting; before, you could go to Poland or Rwanda be unsurprised when every kid would know Tupac lyrics. Now, you can go to Beverly Hills and watch the kids confidently sing Bad Bunny. These shifts are only intensifying, and will ultimately make music less of an aesthetic decision about your brand that makes people react more favorably to your comms, and more of a behavioral one, that makes people react more favorably to your products and services. Gen what? Last month, I had the honor of moderating Bryan W. Gill and Brittany McCaffrey in a phenomenal event titled: *Leadership Evolution - The Importance of Style, Communication and Education for the Dynamic Generational and Neurodiverse Workforce I continue to receive exceptional feedback on the uses of the content presented and the recognition for Bryan W. Gill and Brittany McCaffrey contributions to our #worldclassleadership vision, employees, #communities and #culture. Bryan W. Gill head of the Office of Disability and Inclusion, discussed that our 1st WIN JPMorgan Chase & Co. is that we have removed barriers for folks, educated their managers and led them to pursue their highest career #aspirations. Our 2nd WIN is that JPMorgan Chase & Co. gets access to incredible talent that we may otherwise not had access to, which is helping achieve our business objectives in distinct and amazing ways.
