Freelance Writer & Photographer | Editorial Coordinator for Mountain Gazette

I interviewed pro climber Sasha DiGiulian for this week’s Mountain Gazette feature. We talked about how social media allows athletes & creatives to make a living doing what they love by marketing themselves and securing partnerships/brand deals…perhaps unsurprisingly though, self-promotion invites lots and LOTS of criticism, too. Sasha is strong not just because she is one of America’s most accomplished climbers, but because she took her career by the reins, generated her own success, and definitely doesn’t back down when she gets hate for doing so. She is often criticized for her drive, but look where it’s taken her! https://lnkd.in/gBH3BaTe
