The old Series A benchmark of $1M ARR and $15-20M rounds are a thing of the past. - The current standard is $2-3M ARR, raising $10-15M - Investors are scrutinizing the fiscal responsibility of their pipeline more than ever - A lot of the first time funds who deployed significant capital over the last ~3 years are going to struggle to produce returns… yikes However, pre-seed deal flow volume might be ticking up in September for the first time in many months, indicating that this painful decline in the VC market could be reversing soon.
