Ahead of the trading update, scheduled on 24 July Ecora Resources PLC announces a strong quarter at Kestrel and notes a temporary suspension of the West Musgrave project by BHP.   KESTREL: Ecora has been notified that the saleable volumes within its private royalty area during Q2 2024 were materially ahead of expectations at 1.3Mt, driving Kestrel royalty income of US$26.6m. Consequently, the H1 volumes and portfolio contribution from Kestrel were also ahead of expectations at 2.0Mt and US$40.8m respectively.   Saleable production volumes within the Group’s private royalty area in H1 were, therefore, already at the top end of guidance for the FY 2024, which had anticipated a 15-25% increase on FY 2023 volumes of 1.6Mt. MOL Chemical Tankers Pte. Ltd. and Fairfield-Maxwell Ltd. today announced that they have come to an agreement in principle by which MOL Chemical Tankers would acquire the business of Fairfield Chemical Carriers. The acquisition has been approved by both companies boards of directors, subject to the usual terms and conditions as set forth in the share purchase agreement. In acquiring Fairfield Chemical Carriers business, MOL Chemical Tankers would obtain 100% of the shares in Fairfield Chemical Carriers Pte. Ltd. in an all-cash transaction for about US$400 million, subject to change depending on the price adjustment under the share purchase agreement. The acquisition includes Fairfield Chemical Carriers subsidiaries: Fairfield Japan Ltd.; Fairfield Chemical Carriers BV in the Netherlands; Fairfield Chemical Carriers South Africa; and Fairfield Chemical Carriers Pte. Ltd. in Singapore. Turnarounds are always an interesting topic

Educators at all levels, particularly those Community Colleges with K-12 career pathways to Oil and Gas, Process Technology, Instrumentation, Petroleum, and more, with young students in related programs should proudly post the graph in this article prominently in their facilities with this paragraph as the key takeaway: Injury and illness rates in the refining and petrochemical manufacturing industries are lower than in mining, food manufacturing, ship building and sugar and confectionery product manufacturing, just to name a few. When sectors beyond manufacturing are included, the refining industry rate is below those in business services, agriculture and air transportation, among many others.
