Yesterday’s discussion in "The Resilience Conclave" on "Community-Led Resilience Building," hosted by Vrutti, was nothing short of inspiring. This NGO, dedicated to eradicating poverty through innovative, scalable, and sustainable solutions for small producers, truly brought together some remarkable minds. The session was truly enlightening, with Pankaj sharing profound insights on empowering communities and fostering resilience. But that's not all—He also unveiled the highly anticipated pilot report, marking a significant milestone in our journey towards sustainable development. A huge thank you to Vrutti for organizing such a transformative event and to all the participants who contributed to the vibrant exchange of ideas. Together, we are making a difference, one community at a time. Here's to building stronger, more resilient communities for a brighter future! #CommunityResilience #SustainableDevelopment #InnovativeSolutions #PovertyEradication #SmallProducers #Vrutti #Inspiration #MakingADifference Sunil Savara Pankaj Singh Thakur Madan Padaki Devashis Dubey Kumar Manjunath Rajesh Bhat Puneet Jetli Murali S Rao

You can make a difference. Together we can make change. This giving season, join us as we work to empower women and girls, work with communities to establish lasting, sustainable solutions to hunger and poverty, and combat climate change. Each of us makes a difference, but when we work together our efforts are magnified and replicated across culture and geography. We are ending hunger, but the fight continues. Let’s build on the progress we have made and get the job done - once and for all. Our programs throughout Africa, South Asia and Latin America are based on an innovative, holistic approach. Adapted to meet local challenges and opportunities wherever we work, all our programs have at their foundation three essential pillars: start with women, mobilize communities and engage government. The Hunger Project has a global reach in rural communities across Africa, South Asia and Latin America, encompassing millions of people working to end their own hunger and poverty. Join us in the fight to end hunger and poverty forever! This giving season, let’s make change together. Find out how you can join the fight at thehungerproject.ca.

This summit serves as a pivotal moment to advance the Public-Nonprofit Partnership (PNPP) model and emphasize the necessity of a unified approach towards achieving the objectives outlined in the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), Kenya’s Medium-Term Plan (MTP) for 2023-2027, AU Agenda 2063, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The Innovation of the Week is Poverty Graduation. A cost effective model pioneered by BRAC in Bangladesh has proven that a well delivered package of interventions can help people move out of extreme poverty. By providing cash transfers to help improve consumption, business training and capital, mentoring and coaching and support to start new income generating activities poverty graduation showed that people can sustainably increase their incomes and consumption to 'graduate' from extreme poverty. USAID is supporting Village Enterprise (villageenterprise.org), one of the groups bringing this concept to scale in Rwanda. Village Enterprise will be working closely with the government to embed poverty graduation in the government's own programs as it seeks to eliminate extreme poverty by 2026. https://lnkd.in/ew_C64py

In a challenging environment such as we are in today, Let us accept the challenge for a better human existence by lending support to the less opportune/privileged.. In a VUCA world, humanitarian concerns are heightened due to the increased vulnerability of populations affected by: 1. Volatility: - Sudden onset disasters (e.g., natural disasters, conflicts) - Rapid spread of diseases 2. Uncertainty: - Unpredictable political situations - Unclear humanitarian needs 3. Complexity: - Interconnected crises (e.g., climate change, displacement, poverty) - Multiple stakeholders with competing interests 4. Ambiguity: - Blurred lines between humanitarian and political agendas - Unclear roles and responsibilities Humanitarian concerns in a VUCA world include: 1. Increased displacement and migration 2. Growing needs for emergency response and relief 3. Heightened risk of conflict and violence 4. Exacerbated social and economic inequalities 5. Challenges in accessing affected populations 6. Need for adaptive and innovative response strategies 7. Importance of collaboration and coordination among stakeholders 8. Difficulty in measuring progress and impact In this context, humanitarian organizations and responders must be agile, flexible, and creative to address the evolving needs of affected populations. In conclusion, the hope of the downtrodden and less privileged in our society beckons on us for intervention. I pledge myself, life and passion to humanity. it will be One Day! One Touch!! Dare to Touch a life TODAY... My guest on this episode is working on both climate change and poverty issues. Sometimes, anti-poverty initiatives can often have unintended consequences, which then can create greater dependency rather than truly empowering people, local communities, and local economies to improve their situation. My guest is Josh Martin and he will share how the organization he works for, #ADES, really strives to empower both the people they are serving and the local economy within which they’re serving. #nonprofitleadership #climatechange #fromthearchives

Housing isn't just shelter; it's a powerful lever for amplifying impact across various SDG outcomes 🏠💧🌿💡 Central to our mission is the commitment to empower families by systemically addressing SDG1: No Poverty - the foundation of the SDGs and the driving force behind Empowa 🌍 👇🏽 How do we drive this impact? 📈 We collaborate with local partners on rent-to-own programs, allowing families immediate access to affordable, green, and climate-resilient homes. 💧 With a quality home built by professionals, families gain not just shelter but also crucial benefits like access to clean water and sanitation, as well as protection against natural disasters such as cyclones and flooding. 🧱 Rent-to-own provides a pathway to transform the unavoidable living expense of housing into an investment thereby creating a fundamental building block towards the alleviation of poverty. 🏠 Empowa’s innovation enables families to become homeowners, helping to break the cycle of poverty and provide long-term stability for generations to come. 👉🏽 Are you an impact investor?
