The numbers are in and changing cannabis policy is the clear winner. We analyzed more than 42,000 public comments from the DEA and it is apparent where public sentiment lies. The fact that the majority of supporters were firmly in the deschedule camp should be of more interest. Will this be enough to get the attention of policy makers or do we march forward with schedule 3 and potentially introduce more gray area in this gray market? Some momentous numbers highlighted by Headset on the DEA’s proposed Cannabis Scheduling Reform: • 42,000+ total ‘Public Comment’ submissions (historically, the DEA only receives 100-1500) • 92.45% IN FAVOR of changing cannabis' scheduling (61.7% of these people support DE-scheduling) • 237 days (quickest) to 9 years (longest) (the range of time it's taken other 'drugs' to be rescheduled) Numbers from a Business of Cannabis article (link in comments) • 55,000 (estimated jobs created if rescheduled) • 5 million (# of nurses represented by the American Nurses Association, who has formally supported cannabis rescheduling) • $2.7 billion (in wages) • $5.6 billion (in 'new economic activity') What sticks out the most to you? What will stick out to policy makers? For me, it's that 61.7% of people who “support a change” is equivalent to roughly 22,132 of 42,000 submissions. For DE-scheduling COMPLETELY May our voices be heard #Equity #DEA #CriminalJusticeReform #Lagalization #Cannabis #CannabisReform #Advocacy #FreeThePlant

Public sentiment strongly supports changing cannabis policy, as evidenced by the analysis of over 42,000 public comments submitted to the DEA. The majority of supporters favor removing cannabis from the list of controlled substances entirely, which poses a significant question: will policymakers heed this public demand or proceed with reclassifying cannabis to Schedule 3, potentially complicating the regulatory landscape? ◼ Over 42,000 public comments analyzed reveal strong support for changing cannabis policy. ◼ The majority of supporters advocate for the complete descheduling of cannabis. ◼ Policymakers face a critical decision between descheduling or reclassifying cannabis to Schedule 3. #CannabisReform #PublicPolicy #CannabisIndustry #DEAComments #CannabisData #PolicyChange #PublicSentiment #DescheduleCannabis #CannabisLaw #CannabisRetail

It's fantastic to witness some critical thinking on this matter, Tom Varga! At Treehouse Distribution, we embrace open and honest dialogue regarding the various challenges within the regulated cannabis industry. We understand the importance of addressing these issues head-on. Above all, we champion collaboration and the vitality of the industry. We firmly believe that the more voices involved, the stronger and more vibrant the community becomes. It's imperative that every perspective is valued and heard. We must ensure that the voices of a select few with potentially self-serving agendas don't drown out the collective wisdom of the community and interest of the patient. https://lnkd.in/gAJ6Cyv5

Leaders in DC are positioning themselves for rescheduling/descheduling. Things certainly are heating up 🔥 From today's Cultivated Daily. #cannabisnews #cannabisindustry
Newton's Third Law states that for every action in nature there is an equal and opposite reaction. The same goes for DC. In cannabis right now, the action is possible rescheduling by a Democratic administration. The opposite reaction is push back by Republicans against rescheduling.
