When things start to hit the fan, how often are you being intentional about taking care of yourself? To be honest I still struggle with being intentional with my well being. If I’m not careful, I will find myself sitting at the computer completing tasks back to back without breaking The result usually ends up me feeling incredibly fatigued from lack of eating or drinking by the end of the work day. To help prevent this I’ve found that using timers help break my concentration cycles and come up for air. If you have any other tips to staying intensional with daily self care habits, feel free to share them with me!

Prioritising Self-Compassion: Remembering the 80:20 Rule "Fit your own mask first" – a phrase that may sound cliché, yet its wisdom remains timeless. While we often find fulfillment in helping others, it's crucial to remember the importance of self-care and self-compassion. The 80:20 rule serves as a gentle reminder: allocate 80% of your energy towards nurturing yourself and only 20% towards aiding others, especially during times of instability. Self-compassion is the foundation upon which our ability to help others rests. In a world where self-care is often overlooked or dismissed, let's challenge this narrative. Prioritising our own well-being isn't selfish—it's essential. After all, how can we extend a helping hand if we're not standing on stable ground ourselves? Today, I encourage you to give yourself the attention and care you deserve. Embrace self-compassion, nurture your well-being, and remember: by taking care of yourself, you're better equipped to care for others. Thank you Ben Catley-Richardson for reminding me of this.
