World Menopause Day My family life, career path and financial heath all took a bashing. I changed careers twice, I felt anxious about work, less competent, took feedback as personal criticism, mislaid the resilience I was known for AND my working memory took a blow that not even HRT can restore. I worked, work and surround myself with women in business. Women leaders, peers and friends and still, I never joined the dots. Looking back, I feel confident that had a policy been in place, it would have informed and raised awareness. I know for me it would have been great to know not only what was happening as I suddenly felt the world shift beneath my feet as perimenopause caused overwhelm, but what support or guidance I could have leant on. Why could a policy be so effective? It would have provided an opportunity, a chance to be considered, reviewed annually against leavers, joiners, health and age data in the business It would have been on HR, Leaders in business, my radar. It could have been part of onboarding, appraisals, people management training, a short course to-do remotely, annually, along with mandatory reviewing of things like bribery and corruption. So today on World Menopause Day, which aims to raise awareness of the menopause and the support options available for improving health and wellbeing I was delighted to get an email from YourHR.guide If you do not have a menopause policy, why not consider implementing one using the sample policy on YourHR.guide. Visit the page on menopause and the workplace for further details. There is also ACAS guidance on managing menopause in the workplace. NOTE: Menopause impact some groups more so please take an intersectional, inclusive approach to your menopause support-at-work. #WorldMenopauseDay #WomenInTheWorkplace #Accessibility #Neurodiversity #ReasonableAdjustments #WomenInBusiness #Intersectionality #MenopauseAtWork

Empowering professionals and entrepreneurs with top-notch project management to flawlessly execute strategies and realize their visions. My expertise ensures meticulous planning and execution for success.
False sense of urgency in the workplace can lead to unnecessary stress and anxiety. I believe that urgency culture is a deal breaker. It's important to prioritize tasks based on their level of importance and avoid making everything seem urgent. Let's focus on creating a healthy work environment that values efficiency and productivity without sacrificing employee well-being. #WorkplaceCulture #EmployeeWellbeing

It's wild that 47% of women do not feel supported by their workplace during menopause 🤯 It’s up to company bosses to ensure their organisation has a culture where issues affecting female staff are talked about openly. A week ago, the world celebrated Menopause Day. So, on this occasion, I would like to say that while women in Lithuania are still actively discussing whether it is comfortable to talk about menopause in public, employers in the UK are already discussing ways to support employees who are going through menopause. Companies create workplace programmes and an inclusive environment in which female employees feel able to talk to their managers about how menopause affects them without stigma or shame. For instance, at Lloyds Bank, menopause awareness is one of the biggest health and well-being topics. Additionally, Vodafone, British broadcaster Channel 4, and Irish bank HSBC have adopted policies that include paid leave and menopause training to help address the 59 per cent of working women in the UK between 45 and 55 with menopause symptoms that say it negatively impacts them at work. Overall, I have the impression that the popularity of #sustainability programmes, which have been at the forefront so far, is slowly giving way to workplace programmes supporting employees experiencing #menopause. #HR
