⚡ News sites are used in an open-minded, attentive manner. Advertising is a natural part of this environment fulfilling various functions like #safety⚓, #expertise 🧠 and #relief 😌.
💪 The study showed that news sites are a reliable advertising environment, because no distinction is made between emotionally charged environments ("bad news") and generic, factual environments.
🌟 Placing ads in news environments actually has a positive effect on the majority of brand attributes. Remarkably, this effect held true regardless of whether the news was emotionally charged or fact-based, and across all different (test) brands - including #FMCG and #finance.
