My personal belief when it comes to job hunting: treat yourself often! It doesn’t have to be pricey or even cost anything at all. But after a long day of applying to jobs or after an interview, you should do something for yourself to “refill your cup” so to speak. Here are some good and easy ways to treat yourself after applying to jobs, finishing up an interview, fixing up your portfolio, etc: 🔅 play your favorite video game (Katamari is my relaxing game of choice!) 🔅 go for a walk (easier said than done depending on your location, sure, but worth mentioning!) 🔅 binge your favorite show guilt-free (you earned it!) 🔅 watch your favorite movie from childhood 🔅 make your favorite snack 🔅 hang out with friends 🔅 take a warm, relaxing shower 🔅 listen to a beloved CD while reading a book 🔅 go to the park / beach and unwind 🔅 okay go ahead, buy that thing on your eBay / Steam wishlist (if you have the disposable income to do so, of course!) Most importantly — unplug! You’ve done great work for the day, so silence those notifications, put your phone face down, and let your brain and body rest. You’ve earned it! Me, personally? I love a pretty latte, but I save those for an after interview treat ☕️ How do you treat yourself after a long day of job hunting? #openforwork #greenbannergang #openfornewopportunities #lookingforwork #lookingforopportunities #jobhunt #jobhunt2023 #jobhunting #jobhunter #jobhuntingtips #treatyourself

I think we forget to treat ourselves sometimes. Even if you don't get a job, you tried your best, you did a thing. For me it's a hot shower, matcha ice cream, Ted Lasso~

Being active! I found that getting away from a computer screen definitely helps - helps to compartmentalize and decompress. Lots of running, time with friends, and passion projects make up for it. "Whatever happens, happens"

It’s gaming for me. (it’s always bloody gaming!) I’ve been semi-obsessed with Dave the Diver after reading your super duper review.
