## The importance of research in the field of law Research plays an essential role in the field of law. It allows lawyers to deepen their understanding of laws, jurisprudence and contemporary legal issues. Legal research helps lawyers to better advise their clients, prepare solid arguments and anticipate legal developments. It is also crucial for judges, who rely on research results to make informed and fair decisions. Beyond the practice of law, legal research feeds the reflections of academics and contributes to the advancement of knowledge of law. It makes it possible to identify gaps and grey areas in the legislation, paving the way for reforms and the improvement of the legal system. Ultimately, legal research is an essential pillar to guarantee the effectiveness, relevance and evolution of law in a constantly changing society. #Law #research #fieldoflaw #legalresearch

Thrilled to revisit this photo from a powerful seminar on "The Social Contract Between Bar, Bench and People" where I met the legendary Professor Upendra Baxi! There are those rare encounters that leave a lasting impression, and meeting Professor Baxi was definitely one for me. His passion for law is truly inspiring. The seminar delved into the critical relationship between lawyers, judges, and the public. It resonated deeply, highlighting the importance of incorporating common people more effectively into this vital contract. The legal profession's language can be a significant barrier, and Professor Baxi's insights on fostering public trust and dismantling legal jargon were invaluable. It's a responsibility we all share – to bridge the gap and empower people to navigate the legal system effectively. #law #legal
