👽 The AI Renaissance: How Machines are Transforming Art, Music, and Literature 👴 Humanity's creative spirit has manifested in countless forms throughout history, from the evocative paintings of the Renaissance to the heart-wrenching symphonies of the Romantics. Creativity is often considered a uniquely human trait, but the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) challenges this notion. With algorithms capable of generating art, music, and even literature, the question arises: can machines truly be creative? 🗯 More: https://lnkd.in/gzxJEhJV #AIandCreativity #HumanCreativity #ArtandAI #AIinArt #CreativeAI #MachineCreativity #FutureofArt #AIRevolution #DigitalCreativity #TechandArt

How does AI fit into creative processes while maintaining a protective space for the unique power of humans, specifically as it relates to the arts and literature? A recent story out of China about an AI-generated SciFi novel winning a prize in a national competition is one that I believe will become more and more common (controversial wins for GenAI in digital art contests have also occurred). The way I chose to tackle this moral concern in my recent audiovisual work (https://lnkd.in/e3ZaUXnX) for Violin & GenAI music + images was to keep myself as the human at the center of the design process (e.g. human-in-the-loop) and delegate only selective tasks to the AI. Thus: control, direction and ultimately outcome was the product of human creativity. I think this is a potential foundational path forward; what does everyone else think? #genai #aiart #aiwriting #aimusic #aicreativity

🚀 Excited to share my latest project where I created thought-provoking questions using MusicGen! Project Highlights: MusicGen: Developed questions to explore the nuances and creative possibilities of AI-generated music. Harnessing the power of MusicGen, I delved into various aspects of music composition, generation, and innovation. The questions I developed aim to challenge and expand our understanding of AI's capabilities in the realm of music. #AIMERS #AIMERSOCIETY #APSCHE #imageclassification #teachablemachine #PowerBI #DataVisualization #DataAnalytics #BusinessIntelligence #DataScience #BigData #DataDriven #DashboardDesign #DataReporting #MiracleEducationalSociety AIMER Society - Artificial Intelligence Medical and Engineering Researchers Society Sai Satish

In the field of creativity, the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) has led to a revolutionary shift that challenges traditional notions about art and authorship. As AI technologies become more sophisticated, their impact extends beyond practical applications to the very heart of artistic expression. In music and literature, AI is becoming not just a tool for automation, but a collaborator capable of producing complex compositions and weaving interwoven stories. This journey of transformation invites us to explore a perspective of creativity where technology meets art, opening up a new landscape of possibilities where the boundaries between the creator and the created are blurred. The question that arises in our journey towards the merging of these disciplines is: How is artificial intelligence reshaping the landscape of music and literature, and what new forms of artistic expression are emerging as a result?

Director of Agile Electronics and Ad Hoc Software, Author at Gnomeville Comics, Musician, Honorary Fellow of RMIT University
Back in the eighties at University of Western Australia, I was doing lab demonstrator work while trying to recover from RSI. At this time I met a masters student who was writing a music tutoring system that gave feedback on piano students’ performance of scales. I was intrigued to learn that it was possible to do music-related computer science research. Her supervisor Professor Tsang lent me copies of the Computer Music Journal, the first computing journal that I read with interest. I also borrowed the classic work Computer Music by Curtis Roads from the library. The idea of Computer Music stayed with me, and when I commenced postgraduate study at RMIT, it was only natural for me to come up with a research topic about music retrieval. I spent a good number of years doing research in the field of music information retrieval, but being aware of the composition and sonification side of computer music, I wanted to tinker with that as well. Eventually I did, with World Cloud being the first published output. Then, the Eurovision AI Song Contest came up in 2020. I absolutely had to be a part of it. Fortunately I was able to join the Uncanny Valley team, and our combined ideas and skills led to us winning the competition. Thanks to Covid, it became the lockdown Eurovision, when the real Eurovision had to be cancelled, leading to much more publicity than would otherwise have happened. I wanted a special issue journal to come out about the entries from this competition – my vision being something like the write-ups that are submitted for TREC. It didn’t quite work out that way, but we had a special issue in TISMIR, competently headed by Bob Sturm, with some papers related to the competition. Sadly, we didn’t have enough time to polish up our own paper. Instead, we spruced it up a year later and sent it to the Computer Music Journal. I am pleased to say that, four years on from the competition, and roughly the same time as this year’s Eurovision, it is finally released. It may have taken until almost the end of my research career but I finally have a peer-reviewed Computer Music Journal paper! #ai #cocreativity #eurovision #AIsongcontest #cmj #generativeSystems #patternMatching

In sound engineering and acoustic science, the human voice is considered the most intricate musical instrument—yours included, whether you can sing or not. And like every other element in AI, ethical concerns arise regarding the extent of manipulation and privacy implications involved in advancing voice data. Here's our second instalment in the music innovation series: Decoding voice cloning and recognition – an AI introspective: https://lnkd.in/di4tMENz. We hope this article truly speaks to you.
