Let's get one thing straight - we ALL have biases. And sometimes mine are laid out front and centre for all to hear. Do I care? Not really. Like anything, the best way to solve a problem is first to recognise it, then to accept it and work towards resolving it. And on the latest episode of The D&Igest, this is pretty much exactly what happened. I had no clue that things we were doing on our website and via our communications were making us totally obsolete for disabled people. Now I know, we can change that. In my chat with Mike Adams OBE on the commercial opportunity around the 1.7bn people on the planet who are disabled I was schooled on: - just how HUGE the lack of inclusion is - what that impact means both for those who are disabled and their families - how it represents itself in everyday situations like online shopping and going to the loo! - but crucially just how easy it is to resolve so much of it - AND what a golden ticket it can be for businesses everywhere.
